The Central Print Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
20
March – 7 April 2002

The Exhibition
This is the Print Council’s inaugural exhibition, and entry was open to all the Council’s members.
The newly formed printmaking trust has three major functions; communication between artists, lobbying for the print and printmakers in the arts arena, and educating the public about printmaking through workshops and exhibitions.
The Central Print Council has been running successfully now for 16 months. We have run two exciting series of workshops and just finished a very well received summer school. A winter school is planned for June, which will bring master printmaker Stuart Duffin out from the Glasgow Print Workshop in Scotland. Jo Ogier, a Dunedin printmaker recently back from working in Australia, will be tutoring as well.
